M Series Gen II

Overview

The TRIO Datacom M Series Gen II is the ideal solution for dependable digital data radio communications in SCADA and Telemetry applications at the lowest possible cost. The MR450 is a simplex/half duplex remote digital data radio modem that is simple to configure and use.  Underpinned by the tough and reliable platform of the original M Series, the Gen II now has all the features of a high performance sophisticated data radio modem.

It combines excellent performance and the most commonly sought after features at a very affordable price, without any sacrifice of reliability. The new advancements include MultiStream™ simultaneous data streams allow for multiple vendor devices/protocols to be transported on the one radio network and ChannelShare™ unique integrated C/DSMA collision avoidance technology that permits simultaneous polling and spontaneous alarm reporting operation in the same system.

Other improvements are remote fully transparent Network Management and Diagnostics (in conjunction with TVIEW+™ Software). This allows for network wide operation from any radio modem, transparent network management and over-the-air modem reconfiguration. It includes single radio store and forward, full SCADA style features such as database, trending and networking giving you control of your system. It also now has the capability of Field upgradable Firmware. The MR450 Gen II now comes with a system port adaptor for simultaneous access to the system port and data port as well as a DIN rail mounting option.

In addition the radio has an enhanced Sleep Modes & Fast Wake Up Time facilities to allow the use with “on demand” operation in Gas flow meter and similar low power applications. 

M Series Gen II systems can be rapidly deployed as permanent or temporary alternatives to costly cable based circuits, yet they offer the flexibility to adapt and grow with the ever changing needs for data communications.

For complete data radio system solutions, TRIO Datacom's existing EB450 standard full duplex, and EH450 redundant hot standby base/repeater stations can be configured to operate in fully compatible M Series Gen II mode.

The rugged construction (with -30°C to +60°C operating range) and the same legendary quality as the TRIO Datacom E Series, the world's most advanced family of data radio products, allow the M Series Gen II to be used in the harshest environments. The TRIO Datacom M Series Gen II has application for even the most varied of sophisticated and critical SCADA applications making it the most affordable fully complete radio modem.
