E Series: EH45e Digital Hot Standby Base

Overview

The Trio EH45e is a Redundant 1+1 Hot Standby Full Duplex Digital Base/Repeater Station with automatic changeover. It is optimized for installation at critical sites in Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint (Multiple Address Radio) SCADA and telemetry systems.

The EH45e can be used as a base/repeater in systems supporting a mix of serial only ER450 and Ethernet plus serial ER45e remote data radios.

A major feature of the EH45e is its modular design comprising two identical EB45e base station units linked to a central, monitoring and change-over Hot Standby Controller (HSC). Any of these units may be taken out for maintenance without the need for any system down time. The automatic change-over is triggered by out of tolerance (alarm) conditions in either user data throughput or radio hardware operating parameters.
Base stations and repeaters are key elements in data radio communication systems and are subject to heavy dutycycle operation. The EH45e has been designed to deliver ultimate reliability with continuous full duplex operation at maximum (5W) or (20W) output power. Trio can also supply the standard EB45e Base/Repeater station when redundancy is not required.
