Overview
Trio
radio modems are used to provide wireless communications for
public information systems, traffic light control, motorway
incident, flow and travel time information systems and carpark
information systems. Examples include:
- Carpark
guidance system that provides dynamic car park location
and vacancy information.
- Freeway
flow monitoring of major motorways which also calculates
estimated travel times.
-
Traffic light control systems to manage traffic flow.
- Parking
meter systems that provide information relating to tarriffs,
fault reports and peak time changes to parking tarriffs.
City Council
A large City Council has implemented an automated traffic
management / parking control network, which provides motorists
with up-to-date parking availability information. The communications
backbone of the system is based on Trio Datacom’s 9600bps data
radio modems operating from Prime Repeater Site locations.
